On the
opening day of the homicide trial of Phillip Arthur Thompson, Virginia
McCullough published a letter that had been provided to her in order to
demonstrate the importance of her cooperation handing over documents belonging
to Michael Riconosciuto. She had been
entrusted the documents for safe-keeping.
The letter in question was written to Thompson’s prosecutor and
presented evidence for Thompson’s trial in addition to the home address and
phone number of me and my family. As a
direct consequence of her actions, I have received a number of threatening
phone calls from people referring to me as Michael’s spokeswoman and quoting
the article. As written below, she
claims to have become a runner for Thompson so that she could provide him with
a copy of my correspondence.
The mother
of Valerie McDonald informed me that Ms. McCullough attempted to persuade her
that Michael Riconosciuto was responsible for the murder of her daughter. Detective Rick Fitzgerald confirmed to me
that he was aware of this effort by Ms. McCullough to blame Michael
Riconosciuto for a homicide committed by Phillip Arthur Thompson.

made no secret of the fact that I was the legal runner for Philip Arthur
Thompson. In fact, I so stated at the conclusion of one of my articles so that
my readers would be fully informed. of any bias they might perceive me to have.
I took this temporary title in order to
get documents to Thompson that came from Riconosciuto and his spokesperson
Anita Langley of Vancouver, Canada. I would do so again, if the jail and
the prosecutor would allow me to function in that capacity. Unfortunately, they
changed the rules on "legal runners" to exclude me as the trial date
drew closer.”
An
extensive campaign has been made to discredit Ted Gunderson. It was Mr. Gunderson who stepped in and
initiated contact with local law enforcement at Cabazon, resulting in the
arrest of John P. Nichols for solicitation of murder charges. Suggestion that Mr. Gunderson’s involvement
or input in matters around the investigation of Cabazon homicides should be
subjected to scrutiny as to motive.
